Tequila! That's just one of the ingredients in this year's newly-crowned World's Best Gourmet Pizza. The title was awarded last week, as pizza industry experts gathered at the International Pizza Expo, an annual 3-day trade show in Las Vegas.

Currently wondering how I can get in on this event next year? Anyway...

First place went to Staten Island's Goodfella's Brick Oven Pizza. Their award-winning "Tropical Pie" contains a blend of asiago and mozzarella cheese, shrimp, thinly sliced and twisted limes, fresh mango salsa, and a rich pineapple cream sauce infused with Patron tequila. The grand prize was $10,000.
