The desk at the architecture library at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) in the Netherlands is constructed from dozens of books. The new library opened in January of 2009, after a devastating fire at the Faculty of Architecture building. Minimizing wood as a material eliminates the possibility of termites, but there is certain to be an infestation of pesky bookworms.
