Look closely. This Chesterfield sofa appears to be soft and cushiony, but it was actually constructed from about 220 pounds of concrete. The piece was created by UK-based
Gray Concrete for the upcoming
100% Design London, an annual show featuring
contemporary design and architecture. The concrete couch was sculpted so realistically that the cushions look recently sat on, and there’s even a concrete 50p piece stuck down behind one of them to complete the effect.
