The KFC Double Down, the Friendly's Fatty Melt, the Candwich—seems like food companies are chomping at the bit lately to create the next craze in unconventional on-the-go diet-buster sandwiches. Tesco, a grocery store chain in the UK, is jumping on the bandwagon with the introduction of the LAS-andwich. Yes folks, there now exists a lasagna sandwich.

For just under $3, the lasagna sandwich gives you two carbs for the price of one (along with 565 calories and 26.9 grams of fat). The ingredients consist of "two thick slices of bread, a filling of diced beef in a tangy tomato and herb sauce layered with cooked pasta sheets and finished with a creamy cheddar, ricotta and mayonnaise dressing."

First of all, since when is mayo the secret to mama's signature Italian dish? But more importantly, does cold lasagna in mushy bread—because you know it will be—actually seem appetizing to anyone?
