The first computer game I ever played as a kid is hitting the big screen. Well, not really, but the "trailer" will make you sentimental for the old days of neon green and screaming bright orange graphics. Here's the synopsis for The Oregon Trail movie, released by Half Day Today production company:

"In 1864, a family embarks on an impossible journey into the untamed American West. Based on the classic educational computer game, The Oregon Trail by MECC."

I will forever remember those many hours I spent in the school "media center," running out of food, hunting bison and dying of dysentery.
